Job Summary: The Manager Trade Operations will provide
Trade Support back – up relating to all products of Trade in Operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Business/Operational
Management – 50%
- Provide clear direction to staff on the Barclays Operations business
objectives translating and prioritizing into business performance measures
at team level - Review monthly dashboard statistics e.g. leave, accuracy, work
carried forward, queries, complaints, training etc. - Monitor SLA management, ensuring that internal customers are served
within agreed timelines and breaches are identified and investigated. - On an annual basis, renegotiate SLAs with stakeholders.
- Proactively contribute to embedding of agreed change management
initiatives in support of quality improvement and cost reduction. - In line Barclays Principles of treating customers fairly, ensure
that complaints and queries are managed as per policy. - Proactively support developing of Retail and Corporate teams in
enhancing current propositions and launching new products and channels. - Ensure that processing is with zero error rate

- Resource, develop and retain a motivated high performing team

performance development objectives for all direct reports providing
regular feedback and / or coaching to ensure their maximum potential is
achieved. - Champion the cultural change needed to reinforce Operations

Controls – 20%
- Review MI compiled by the team members
- Critically review all processes from a risk and productivity
perspective on a periodic basis. - Participate in Monthly risk meetings with other stakeholders to
identify risks and propose controls. - Raise incident reports for any unauthorised access
- Ensure Pre audit checks are done and reviewed in order for
department to obtain green rating - Ensure business continuity tests are conducted on a regular basis as
required and report signed off. - On at least a monthly basis, conduct team meetings to review safety,
health and environment policies and all other policies - Conduct an inventory check of physical assets in the department as
required. Escalate any issues raised. - Issue RCA checks, collate results and remediate exceptions.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the ABSA Group (Formerly Barclays Bank
UK) Manager Trade Operations job opportunity should preferably have five years
of post qualification experience in a demanding Operations / Service
management environment - Extensive experience with an excellent track record of managing
large teams in an empowered environment - A proven record in managing and delivering results against set
targets - A proven record of delivering world class service in a cost
effective manner - Successful major change management experience
- Understanding of Flex cube and other Barclays IT systems
- Good understanding of rigour / risk management techniques
