displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, education,
emergency food security, legal assistance, and water, sanitation and hygiene
sectors.

Job Summary:  The Livelihoods and Food Security Assistants –
(Agronomy, IGA, FFS) will work directly with the respective officer to support
the implementation of the project.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitate the Farmer Field Schools sessions
  • Support leaders of farmer groups to become experts in specific
    topics Complete monitoring reports and report to the Coordinator
  • Identify and make contact with local markets and value chain stake
    holders Identify the need for additional assistance to be factored into
    the project reviews.
  • Customizing training model in IGA and support training.
  • Integration of environmental protection in implementation.
  • Follow up of Business groups and providing technical oversight.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant for the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Livelihoods
    and Food Security Assistant – (Agronomy, IGA, FFS) job placement should
    hold a higher diploma in a relevant field.
  • Two years of experience working with communities. 
  • Knowledge of experience work in West Nile is an added advantage 
  • Have very good experience with in agricultural systems, innovative
    agriculture technologies, Rural development, and has significant
    experience working with multi sector stakeholders.
  • We are particularly looking for a positive individual with strong
    communication and interpersonal skills, who can build trust and
    confidently navigate both internally and externally at different levels, and
    ensuring production systems (e.g. soilless agriculture) are working
    effectively and that all training and monitoring activities are of a high
    standard.

    most vulnerable people in the world’s biggest displacement crisis.
