organization that supports nonprofits to develop programmes that are
effective and sustainable.

Job Summary:  The Child Protection Specialist will be the
primary technical person responsible for managing child protection engagements
within IIDC, offer technical advice and capacity strengthening on child
protection to the partner organisations. It is a senior position with the
purpose to support the growth of the child protection programmes as one of the
thematic areas.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and
    Social Administration, Social Sciences, development Studies or any related
    field from a recognized university with strong child rights ‘content
  • Training on child protection programming or child safeguarding
    standards
  • Ten (10) years working experience in managing of child protection
    programmes
  • Practical experience in policy development and offering technical
    assistance
  • Practical knowledge and experience in monitoring and Evaluation and
    leadership
  • Ability to communicate in Swahili is an added advantage.
  • Excellent report writing, training and mentoring, communication,
    presentation and good interpersonal); mature; committed; very analytical;
    resilient and flexible; a learner for self and others.
