Job Summary:    The Community Development Assistant – SEEK
Project will be the major point of contact with the community and local
structures while ensuring that all planned activities under the project is
implemented within the agreed timeline. Particular focus will be ensuring that
the Sustaining Education Efforts in Karamoja (SEEK Project) achieve its
objective of enrolling and retaining the 15000 out of school children in
schools within the project timeframe.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Mobilize project participants for project activities such as
  barrazas, parents’ awareness, school clubs, radio talk shows, etc
• Preparing field activity reports on timely basis and documenting
  field information like preparing attendances,
• Supporting M and E during Village Education Committee refresher
  trainings to prepare attendances,
• Carrying out follow-ups on project activities.
• Documenting success stories about the project
• Tracking out school children through mobilization and tracking
  together with the village education committees and teachers.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

• The applicant for the World Vision Community Development Assistant –
  SEEK Project job placement should preferably hold a bachelor’s degree in
  social science, development studies or any other related field.
• Certificate in community engagement, guidance and counseling is an
  advantage.
• At least three years’ experience of directly management education
  programming with good knowledge of current education challenges, policy
  guidelines among others.
• Good knowledge and working experience of Karamoja context
• Should be a problem solver with high level of creativity,
  sensitivity to conflict
• Hold a Valid ridding permit.
• Effective in written and verbal communication in English and
  Nga’Karimojong language.
• Ability to ride on rough terrains 
• Excellent reporting skills
• Exhibit high level of flexibility with excellent decision making
  skills.
• Experience in community mobilization and CVA (Citizens Voice for
  Action).
• There will be constant travel within the district of operation
