Job Summary:  The UPSkill – Business Lead should be a
well-rounded individual, who leads by example, you will lead our focus to build
today’s most in-demand skills. Your activities will cultivate top tech talent
and spur innovation through strategic learning opportunities. This position is
heavily involved in public-facing functions and will involve first interaction
with our crowd of entrepreneurs, learners, instructors, and other stakeholders.
We are looking for someone with a strong customer service background and a
readiness to handle lots of moving pieces.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • The incumbent will coordinate and provide support on overall
    strategy/action plan, including formulation, design, planning and
    implementation in line with our skilling mandate.
  • Develop symbiotic relationship between industry actors and
    recruiting them to become facilitators
  • Support startups, scaleups and SMEs within our portfolio by building
    relevant content to speak to their capacity gaps.
  • Pursue, Cultivate and manage partner relationships with focus in
    systematically expanding our network of collaborators across various
    needs.
  • Deliver a financially sustainable business by proactively building and
    maintaining research, business and industry activity
  • Create and host valuable classes, Masterclasses, workshops,
    long-form courses, and events related content to drive growth in relevant
    stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage the development of annual and seasonal plans that
    support the successful achievement of program and business goals by
    streamlining processes, increasing efficiency, revenue, and downstream
    retention.
  • Create and manage a meaningful customer segmentation and contact
    strategy, executing timely and accurate deliveries of marketing strategies
    to achieve business goals.
  • Analyze the performance of various content and ensure a regular flow
    of additional content developed based on those insights.
  • Develop and test new ways of adding value to learners as part of the
    path to grow explore alternative approaches to building entrepreneurs.
  • Create relevant content for the internal community derived from
    their priorities and development needs
  • Anticipate and conduct content driven events and activities for the
    community driven by their needs.
  • Continuously improve our content strategy to identify the best
    methods for reaching our target audience systematically over
    time—including channels, mediums and formats



Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • Show passion for innovation and social impact with exceptional
    written and spoken articulacy. You thrive under pressure and unfazed by
    fast-paced environments. You are Entrepreneurial, and have a get things
    done attitude. No need to write code but we’ll expect you to be tech-savvy
    and enjoy learning new tech. You are active, skillful user of social
    media.
  • You are bold, appreciate direct and open conversation and
    collaborate freely with your supervisor
  • You value freedom, actively drive your work and department and enjoy
    taking initiative to suggest and won improvement and change projects
  • You easily fit into a youthful and informal work culture
