Job Summary:    The Project Coordinator – Child Protection
is responsible for managing the implementation of Child Protection Program
activities in either Imvepi and Kiryandongo, mentoring and coaching staff and
to represent and advocate for Save the Children’s work and organizational
priorities in child protection with a wide range of external parties including Government
(OPM), communities, donors during field visits, and other humanitarian agencies
operating in the area. The incumbent will be expected to provide leadership and
guidance to the project implementing team.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The candidate for the Save the Children International Project
    Coordinator – Child Protection career placement should hold a Degree in
    social work/social sciences or equivalent.
  • At least three years’ relevant work experience in child protection
    programs.
  • Previous experience of managing a team of implementing staff in
    Implementation of project activities
  • Demonstrable experience of using current quality standards and
    guidelines for child protection programs.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to meet project goals.
  • Experience of managing the project cycle, including implementation
    and report writing, Monitoring and evaluation.
  • Solid knowledge base and practical experience in community based
    child protection approaches,
  • Case management and child participation methodologies.
