Job Summary:  The Officer Business Planning & Analysis
should;

  • Participate in the planning and
    performance management process of CIB in Stanbic Bank Uganda Limited
    (SBUL).
  • Establishment and reporting of Key
    Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the CIB product houses/Coverage and the
    monitoring of their performance and profitability.
  • Supporting the quality of decision
    making by providing timely and relevant insights based on a periodic
    analysis of detailed CIB financial performance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

Management
Accounting and Reporting

  • Prepare monthly product and portfolio
    reports for submission to Head Office and to the country BU as well as
    Product house heads;
  • Prepare daily Asset and Liability
    trackers;
  • Prepare weekly/monthly detailed analysis
    and commentary on portfolio and sector performance, identifying areas for
    improvement and corrective action;
  • Monitoring revenue and expenditures,
    making recommendations and appropriate action to ensure sound financial
    controls;
  • Carry out required trend analysis,
    budget variance analysis and business analysis to extract insights to be
    used in making recommendations to business;
  • Preparation and consolidation of
    existing (as well as new reports – in line with evolving business needs)
    periodic product, customer and Segment performance reports;
  • Support in the preparation of the annual
    budget, monthly forecasts and rolling forecasts/revised estimates for CIB.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the Stanbic Bank
    Officer Business Planning & Analysis job should hold a B.Com
    (Accounting/Finance).
  • ACCA 
    Level 2
  • 0 – 2 years banking experience.
  • Experience with analytical tools and
    spreadsheets
  • Financial Modelling and data mining
    experience
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Access and
    PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of IFRS
  • Analytical mind with strong orientation
    to financial analysis.
  • Ability and experience in communicating
    with all levels of management regarding management information needs.
  • Good interpersonal skills required in
    liaising with people at different levels within the bank.
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Ability to multi-task and work in teams
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet
    tight deadlines.
  • A person with high integrity.
  • Good computer skills ( Excel Word and
    PowerPoint)
