Continental Forests
is a Management Contractor for global-woods AG licensed by the government of
Uganda to establish and manage a forest on over 12,000 hectares in Kikonda
Central Forest Reserve Kyankwanzi district, Western Uganda.

Job Summary:  The Data clerk is responsible for the safe and
efficient operation of the Loader. This position operates loaders equipped with
mounted hydraulically powered fork which is used to load on transporting
trailer for Timber products, and/or stock pile logs and plunks.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Record and keep up to date, files of the harvesting / milling tally
    sheet data on a daily basis
  • Oversee team performance, production, safety, equipment, technical
    details, and resource protection in the resin tapping operation.
  • Ensure safety of the resin tapping team during the taping operation
  • Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor from
    time to time

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate must hold a Uganda Certificate of Education
    (UCE) or an Advanced Certificate (UACE) qualifications
  • A business related training from a recognised institution will be of
    added advantage.
  • At least two years of experience
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Time Management
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new circumstances
  • Demonstrate professionalism
  • Have a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
  • Multi-task and set priorities effectively
  • Excellent hand, eye and foot coordination
