is a for-profit corporation and the creator of affordable, Pay-To-Own renewable
energy products that empower those living off-grid. Over 34m people in Uganda
are off-grid, which equates to 6.2m households who have no access to power and
instead depend on kerosene for light and local businesses for phone charging.
To address this, Fenix International has developed ReadyPay, a new Pay-To-Own
Solar Power System. Coming in a range of kits, ReadyPay Power Systems are
designed to provide clean light, phone charging, entertainment and more for
those living off-grid.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the data and software teams to design, build and support
critical ETL pipelines. - Build, maintain and optimise the data team’s code base for scale,
security and reliability. - Work with the software team to design reporting data architecture
and create SQL queries to gather reporting data for department leads. - Design, build and automate testing at various levels of the ETL
tasks to ensure correctness and data integrity. - Be willing to get your hands dirty in taking deep-dives into various
data sources to investigate data integrity issues and sources of
discrepancies.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Fenix International Data Analyst job must hold
a Degree in computer science, or a related field - One year of industry experience
- Strong Python; as well, working knowledge of Python in a data
analytics/science capacity e.g. pandas, matplotlib, numpy, seaborn, and
using Jupyter notebooks is desirable. - Strong SQL, comfortable writing queries, data processing scripts,
and understanding data structures - Keen eye for detail and thoughtful investigation of data before
relying upon it - Demonstrated expertise in strategic analysis to impact decisions
- Commitment to live and work in East Africa
- Thrives on teamwork
- Sense of adventure and willingness to dive in, think big, and execute
with a team
