ministry.

Job Summary:  The Child Development Officers; Sponsor/Donor
Relations and Health will be tasked with the provision of information needed by
sponsors/ donors, child development officers report to and are supervised by
the project director. These are team members and must exhibit a higher sense of
integrity and they are members of church staff.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as an advocate for children and care givers
  • Take lead of the children’s’ and sponsor’s’ correspondence,
    communications and child updates.
  • Ensure monitoring and tracking of child participation in the
    program.
  • Initiate generation of annual health work plan and coordinate its
    implementation with emphases on prevention of diseases among the
    beneficiaries with utmost confidentiality.
  • Works closely with the local church in developing their child care
    ministry.
  • Responsible for physical, cognitive and economic development of the
    sponsored children.
  • Plans and coordinates health related trainings, information,
    education and communication (ICE)

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicant must hold a Diploma or its equivalent in Nursing,
    primary health care, community health, education, social work and
    administration, social sciences, development studies, communications and
    records management and any related discipline,
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a mature born again Christian with a sound testimony.
  • Experience and current knowledge of HIV/AIDS interventions, formal
    training in counseling and child development, project planning and basic
    accounting procedures is an added advantage.
  • Good computer skills
  • Good written communication skills and strong verbal communication
    skills in English. Ateso and Lugwere is an added advantage.
  • Ability and desire to learn new things
  • Age: 25-35 years
