Job Summary:  Solid Rock Life & Business (SRLB) is
looking for experienced Rigger Instructors who will be responsible for the
preparing and conducting training programs. Please note that this is a 6 months
Consultancy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·        
Instruct
and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials, in order
to prevent injuries and damage.

·        
Instruct
students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods such as
lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.

·        
Maintain
accurate and complete student records as required by law, district policies,
and administrative regulations.

·        
Prepare
materials and classrooms for class activities in collaboration with basic
skills instructor.

·        
Establish
clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those
objectives to students.

·        
Teaches
the depth and scope of class materials as outlined in the syllabus and catalog
and relates the instruction to careers and employer expectations

·        
Demonstrate,
promote and require safety at all times.

·        
Create
modules, and workshops questions

·        
Demonstrate,
promote and require safety at all times.

·        
Performs
miscellaneous job-related duties as assign

·        
Managing
training resources

·        
Ensure
training materials, tools and equipment are safely stored after use by students

·        
Responsible
for basic repairs of machines, tools and equipment while executing duties.

·        
Develop
and Prepare appropriate training materials for efficient and effective delivery
of the skills.

·        
Ensure
that all rigging and lifting equipment has appropriate certification which is
in date, and that all rigging and lifting equipment is in good condition and is
suitable for use

·        
To guide
the crane safely on and off site especially when the crane is reversing

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

·        
The
ideal candidate should have five years of related working experience in
industrial rigging experience

·        
Degree/Diploma
or Certifications (in a technical field)

·        
Relevant
technical accreditations

·        
Mechanical
knowledge of overhead cranes

·        
Skilled
at driving lifting equipment

·        
Demonstrate
training in Manual Handling and Working at Height in a safety harness

·        
Understand
weights of equipment and rigging tools

·        
Read
blueprints / plans and/or create lift plans 

·        
Skilled
with power tools

·        
Should
have knowledge in rigging on heavy equipment, piping and structural works.

·        
Should
be conversant with international signals for rigging

·        
Should
have knowledge for Safety awareness in Rigging of lifting tools &
tackles.      

·        
Instructor
Technical Training. 

·        
Training/s
in e.g. Job Safety Analysis, Banksman Slinger, Work Place Fundamental Risks
& Assessments, Manual Handling,

Competencies

·        
Strong
interpersonal and communication skills.

·        
Critical
thinking and problem solving

·        
Experienced
user of MS Office Toolset
