Job Summary:   The Mortgage
Manager will actively contribute towards Absa Home Loans business profitability
through achievement of contracted sales targets and customer service
excellence. To perform intermediary services by facilitating sale of HOC
insurance to the customer” under customer engagement.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Deliver Service
Excellence (20 %)
·        
Achieve
100% of contracted Home Loan (HL) sales targets
·        
Manage
Home loan Sales with the help of Mortgage Consultants and Branch Network Sales
Team
·        
Maintain
own activity report with regards to clients seen, queries received and branch
leads generation
·        
Submit
activity record to the Sales Leader as per the required intervals
·        
Achieve
conversion ratio as per the performance development agreement from grant to
registration monthly
·        
Follow
up on leads and provide feedback on the outcome of each lead supplied and
generated to the Sales Leader
·        
Submit
fully completed Home Loan applications to the Processing Unit
·        
Provide
daily Management Information (MI) to the Sales Leader on grants, withdrawn,
declines and not taken  applications
·        
Electronically
capture applications on the intranet thus enhancing quality submissions and
faster turnaround times
·        
Perform
a Customer Acceptance Screening Application (CASA) on the system on all
mortgage loan applications prior to submission.
·        
Assess
client needs and profile by conducting a full initial client interview, assist
the clients complete the application forms, source the correct minimum
requirements docs (documents required at the initial phase to process the
application) in line with the Absa policy and relevant legislation.
·        
Attend,
and participate in, World Class Meetings by positioning the Home Loan product.
·        
Build
functional network relationships with branch and external stakeholders to
ensure customer service excellence
·        
Proactive
in solving problems effectively, uses an analytical method
Deliver Service
Excellence (20 %)
·        
Update
clients on the progress of application throughout the process milestones,
approval in principle (AIP) and Final Grant and when queries arise
·        
Resolve
customer queries within 24 hours of receipt of complaint.
·        
Provide
regular feedback and escalate concerns experienced in the process to the Sales
Leader
·        
Ensure
client satisfaction by delivering exceptional customer service in line with the
principles of Treating Customer’s Fairly (TCF)
·        
Training
as a technical expert in assigned area
·        
Good
understanding of processes, application and techniques within the team and can
utilise those needed for the role
Relationship
Management (20%)
·        
Liaise
with internal colleagues within the Deal Facilitation, Production Unit and
Internal Channel to facilitate the resolution of queries speedily
·        
Liaise
with colleagues within the branch network to expand the possibility of leads
generation
·        
Attend
branch daily team talks and provide insight to colleagues on the Home Loans
products, thereby championing Home Loan Product in the branch or area
·        
Assist
in training  LG and branch staff on the
Home Loans product
·        
Represent
Home Loans on in-branch Promotions and sales drives
·        
Actively
shares knowledge to improve team’s performance.
·        
Works
well in a team and maintains good relationships with team members and building
relations with other department members
·        
Can
articulate vision for the team
·        
Has a
good reputation with the team of delivering on task

etc.

Adhere
to Sales Audit requirements e.g. outstanding securities, completion of sales
register etc.
·        
Ensure
fraud is detected e.g. employment documents etc.
·        
Ensure
that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with
regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal
Barclays Policies and Policy Standards. Understand and manage risks and risk
events (incidents) relevant to the role.”



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The
ideal candidate for the Barclays Bank Mortgage Manager job should have NQF
Level: NQF Level 4: Grade 12
