Joint Clinical Research
Centre (JCRC) is a National Ugandan Organization that was established in 1991
as a Medical Institution and HIV/AIDS Centre of Excellence specializing in
Medical Research, Health Care and Training.
Job Summary: The Head Security will be responsible for
managing a team of security personnel to ensure the protection of property,
assets, and people. S/He will also be responsible for patrol building
perimeter, sets up secure point of entry, and investigate suspicious activity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up an effective security structures that meets the current and
future security needs of JCRC. - Set up effective security systems, policies and procedures.
- Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events.
- Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms.
- Anticipate and proactively address potential security risks.
- Coaching, developing and motivating security team.
- Develop the security department into a standardized unit.
- Building and maintaining good working relationships with various
security stakeholders which include but not limited to (Uganda Police,
UPDF among others). - Regularly monitor, evaluate and report security risks.
- Conduct regular security and business risk audits and facilitate
implementation of corrective actions to close the gaps. - Establish a comprehensive risk management and reporting system.
- Implement regular security communication system.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC)
Head Security job must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized
institution. - Must have five years’ experience as a security officer from
recognized security agencies with a bias in Command, Leadership and
Management. - Good interpersonal skills, Must have no criminal record, Must have a
certificate of good conduct from International Police Kampala.
