of their lives while building strong and resilient communities. Reach Out Mbuya
delivers comprehensive health care services through four clinics, multiple
mobile outreaches and public-private partnerships within Kampala, Wakiso,
Nakaseke and Luweero.

Job Summary:  The OVC Supervisor will supervise ROM Orphans
and Vulnerable Children (OVC) interventions to ensure effective realization of
department work plans and ROM goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

Financial

·        
Plan and
budget for OVC activities and track performance as per approved plan.

·        
Ensuring
enrolment of OVC for support is in line with available budgets and timely
settle of all payments due for OVC support is done.

·        
Support
the fundraising drive for OVC activities and ROM at large.

Customer Focus

·        
Work
with community-based staff Community ART TB Treatment Supporters (CATTS),
Mother to Mother (M2M), Teenage & Adolescent Supporter (TAS) and social
workers in the assessment of the children’s vulnerability in various
communities.

·        
Liaise
with Community based staff to ensure positive children identified are enrolled
in the system, comprehensively documented and tracked for viral load
suppression.

·        
Ensure
that prioritized home visits are conducted together with relevant
community-based workers as a follow up for children with high viral loads,
absenteeism in school, poor performance etc.

·        
Ensure
child protection cases are identified, handled or referred to appropriate
stakeholders for support.

Learning and Growth

·        
Document
activity outcomes that includes comprehensive monthly reporting and specific
OVC donor reporting as per grant agreements

·        
Recommend
appropriate OVC plan, policy and guideline reviews.

·        
Participate
in OVC project reviews and designs.

·        
Any
other duty assigned by the immediate supervisor.

·        
Promote
the vision, mission and the values of ROM.

Internal Business
Processes

·        
Provide
technical support to the Community & Social Support Manager in ensuring
adequate and competent implementation of OVC programs at the sites and in the
community. Organize the community structures, establish and strengthen
community partnerships to support the following up of OVC and caregivers at
community level. This may include meetings, trainings, awareness campaigns plus
any other forums that support effective implementation of ROM programs.

Participate
in the monitoring and reviewing of OVC activities and ensure all relevant data
are input into the OVC data base and are updated on a regular basis.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

·        
The
applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields; Social
Sciences, Education, SWSA, Development Studies, Community and Adult Education,
or Community Psychology

·        
At least
two years of experience in OVC Social Support

·        
Specialized
knowledge required: Project Planning and Management, HIV/AIDS Counselling,
Training of Trainers

·        
Key
Skills:
Writing skills,
Counselling skills, Communication skills, and Leadership/Management skills

·        
Other
Qualities/Attributes:

Integrity, Interpersonal relations, Confidentiality
