not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the
Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a
Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres
of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa,
Eastern Europe and North America.

Job Summary:    The VMMC Data Officer will support the
district VMMC teams

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • The VMMC Data Officer will support the district VMMC teams to:
    maintain and manage vmmc records and database;
  • Compile and submit correct timely VMMC reports; maintain updated
    electronic health records (ehr) databases;
  • Participate in VMMC activities to monitor VMMC data quality
    assurance and ensure compliance to VMMC data quality standards;
  • Ensure availability of all vmmc data capture tools at implementing
    sites; monitor and manage vmmc data capture and documentation by service
    providers including same day correct data capture and entry into all
    relevant tools at VMMC service delivery point and openmrs;
  • Compile the daily activity report at the end of each day of the VMMC
    camp;
  • Ensure Complete Documentation Of Referral For VMMC Clients Using The
    Community/Facility Referral Forms;
  • Ensure effective utilization of data for programming; and document
    client feedback from satisfaction survey of current and previous clients
    both at VMMC service delivery point and at home.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the Baylor-Uganda VMMC Data Officer job must
    hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Statistics or any other
    related course
  • Previous experience in data management: collection, entry and analysis;
    HMIS and DHIS2
  • Candidate should have local dialect proficiency and skill in
    motorcycle riding
  • Willingness to spend 70% of time in field
  • Licensed motorcycle riding 
    will be an added advantage
