Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the Ministry’s Information Communication Technology system;
- Creating a system in order to ensure that adequate capacity is in
place for smooth operations of the Ministry’s Information and
Communication Management System; - Providing systems administration to the Ministry’s ICT
infrastructure; - Assessing technical ICT system design requirements and drawing bills
of quantities; - Providing right specifications to user departments for procurement
of ICT equipment and ensuring that the right equipment are delivered; - In charge of preparing work-plans and budgets and ensuring capacity
building and proper maintenance of the equipment in use, and the environment; - Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, or Computer Science, or
Information Communication Technology from a recognized University. - Ethics and integrity; interpersonal, communication and computer
skills; ability to adapt to multi cultural settings; effective
organizational and planning skills; time management skills; technical
skills; report writing skills; negotiation skills; capacity for teamwork;
innovation and concern for results, quality and standards. - Age: Below 21
years
