Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Participating in compliance monitoring and inspection, safety assessments,
    safety audits, incident and accident investigation, training, risk
    assessments and hazard identification;
  • Keenly reviewing safety assessments, safety audits and designing
    training programs to provide safety awareness education;
  • Participating in the development of safety policies, standards,
    management systems, procedures and codes of practice for the sector;
  • Developing training programs and strategies and providing safety
    awareness at  workplaces in the
    sector;
  • Developing budgets and work plans for the Unit;
  • Preparing quarterly progress reports for the Unit;
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor
    of Science Degree in Health and Safety, or Mechanical, or Environment
    Engineering, or Geology, or related field and training in Safety from a
    recognized University.
  • Age: Below 21
    years
