happens in the home, in the communities and within institutions that community
members use on a regular basis.

Job Summary:  The GBV Prevention Network Program Manager
will lead and coordinate the GBV Prevention Network area of our work GBV
Prevention Network is a dynamic group of activists 8t practitioners committed
to preventing violence against women in the Horn, East & Southern Africa.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance on the GBV Prevention
    Network to ensure achievement of the goals and objectives
  • Oversee and guide the different feminist pieces of the Network
    through planning implementation, and monitoring this includes leading on
    implementation of selected pieces
  • Lead and support the production of various creative and vibrant
    materials for use in feminist process 16 days of Advocacy and Activism
    Kit. social media campaigns etc
  • Ensure there is an ongoing learning and documentation; to enhance
    depth and breadth of the various initiatives:
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with members of the
    Network‘ partner organisations at national‘ regional and global levels
  • Supervise, mentor and support the GBV Prevention Network team
    including staff, interns and consultants.
  • Manage finance for the sex Prevention Network the budgeting,
    monitoring and support in fundraising
     

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicant must hold an MA in relevant field of studies
  • Eight years of NGO experience in a senior position.
  • Experience in VAW prevention programming
  • Experience publishing academic papers and/or thought pieces, blogs.
    reports etc Attributes:
  • Demonstrates strong feminist analysis skills and articulations
  • Demonstrates feminist leadership skills
  • Creative and ability to facilitate energetic processes
