About US:

The Public
Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) is established under
the PPDA Act No.1 of 2003 to develop standards and regulate procurement and
disposal practices in respect of all Procuring and Disposing Entities which
include Central Government Ministries and Departments, Local Governments, State
Enterprises, Constitutional and Statutory Bodies and post primary training
institutions.

Job Summary:  The Finance Officer will implement and carry
out the financial        activities of the
authority ensuring that they are completed in a timely manner and to the
correct standards and with the mandatory guidelines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Timely, efficient and effective generation of reports on budgets and
    performance of the Authority
  • Support the finance function to ensure payments are processed and
    effected on timely basis to meet different stakeholder needs and services
    receipt.
  • Timely accountability of financial transactions paid out by the
    authority to ensure timely preparation of cash based financial statements
    through a clean trial balance.
  • Timely payment of staff for the authority to enable them meet their
    monthly expenses as and when they arise as a way of reward for the effort
    exerted in achieving company goals and objectives.
  • Ensure that all assets are captured in the system and have engraved
    numbers to ensure accurate accountability and safeguarding of the
    authority assets.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicant for the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public
    Assets Authority (PPDA) Finance Officer job must hold an Honours degree in
    Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting Option).
  • Part or full membership to CPA/ICPAU/ACCA will be an added advantage
  • Previous experience in working in a relevant field will be desirable.

  • Personal Integrity
  • Reliability
