Job Summary: The Business Systems Support Officer will
provide technical support to
improve the usage
of business applications. The incumbent will carry out
installation and configuration
of business applications
to enable easy
access by users. The jobholder will attend to all user
requests in regard
to system issues. The jobholder will keenly
monitor performance and
availability of all
business applications on
a daily basis. Collect user
requirements during business
applications setups and
training. Participate in awareness
training programs to
system users on
proper usage of
business applications
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide
technical support to
improve usage of
business applications.
- Carry out installation and
configuration of business
applications to enable
easy access by
users. - Attend to all
user requests in
regard to system
issues. - Monitor performance and
availability of all
business applications on
a daily basis - Collect user requirements during
business applications setups
and trainings - Participate in awareness training programs to
system users on
proper usage of
business applications.
Maintain business
applications continuity policies
and standards.
- Initiate Disaster Recovery
tests as per
annual Business Continuity Plan. - Maintain backup and
restoration logs and
events, and ensure
that they are
done as per
ICT backup and
Business Continuity Plan
policies. - Maintain appropriate backup
media, and conduct
weekly and monthly
inventories. - Develop accurate system
reports as per
schedule and ADHOC
requests. - Update service desk
system on progress
of resolution of
reported user business
application.
Assist in implement
of business systems
application.
- Research, review, document
and implement security
standards based on
business application used. - Close audit and
close audit and
risk analysis issues
raised. - Run end of
the day, end
of week, end
of month, end
of year processes and
extract reports. - Review and develop
system access matrices
as per operational policies
for each role.
Key
Performance Indicators
- Resolution of user
queries as per
service level agreements - Timely submission of
reports - Backups available at
all times as
per Business Continuity Plan
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Pride Business Systems Support Officer
job placement should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in
Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics or
any other related/relevant field - Two Principal passes
at A ‘level - Credits in Mathematics and
English at O’ Level - Certification in IT
Infrastructure Library is
an added advantage. - Two years of experience
in a similar
position. - Experience in business
process definition, systems
implementation and support - Communication and documentation skills
- Problem solving and
interpersonal skills - Knowledge of applications processing architecture and
basic networking principles. - Desktop, laptop, tablet
and mobile device
hardware fundamentals
