Job Summary: The Finance Manager reports to the Country
Director but also acts as the Secretary to the Audit and Risk Committee of the
TPO Board of Directors. The Finance Manager is a senior management position.
S/he provides financial expertise, strategy and leadership to the way TPO
Uganda resources are acquired, managed and expended. S/he provides supervision
to all finance operations and is responsible for recruitment, supervision and
development of a competent team of competent finance personnel. His/her
influence transcends HQ operations to cover all field offices and locations and
projects where TPO resources have been deployed.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The successful applicant must poses a BCOM or related accounting
degree, a Masters in Financial Management and Accounting and be a full
Chartered Accountant at ACCA/CPA level. - A minimum of eight years of experience inn a Senior Finance
Management position and familiar
with managing EU, USAID, UN and DANIDA grants among others. - S/ he must be able to work in SAGE PASTEL software.
- Ability to lead and mentor teams, highly analytical problem solving,
excellent communication skills, proactive and innovative and risk
analysis. - We will require the successful candidate to poses demonstrable
experience managing a multi donor funded budget portfolio.
