Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Providing advice on management of the institutional buildings and
    assets;
  • Maintaining the Ministry’s properties, buildings and establishing a
    system for proper management;
  • Periodically inspecting the institutional properties so as to
    ascertain their condition and making arrangement for repairs and
    renovations;
  • Compiling and keeping up-to-date register of the institutional
    properties and assets;
  • Participating in acquisition of institutional land and registration;
  • Participating in evaluation of the Ministry’s properties;
  • Managing the Ministry’s infrastructure, buildings and compound;
  • Overseeing the security of the Ministry’s estates;
  • Preparing work plans and budgets for proper management of the
    estates;
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours
    Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering (Civil) or related qualifications in
    Estates Management from a recognized Institution.
  • Ethics and integrity; interpersonal, communication and computer
    skills; ability to adapt to multi cultural settings; effective
    organizational and planning skills; time management skills; technical
    skills; report writing skills; negotiation skills; capacity for teamwork;
    innovation and concern for results, quality and standards.
  • Age: Below 21 years
