About US:

Uganda Wildlife
Authority (UWA) is a semi-autonomous agency under the Ministry of Tourism,
Wildlife and Antiquities. UWA was established in 1996 and is managed in
accordance with the Wildlife Act Cap 200. The Mission of UWA is: “To Conserve
and Sustainably Manage the Wildlife and Protected Areas of Uganda in
Partnership with Neighboring Communities and Other Stakeholders for the Benefit
of the People of Uganda and the Global Community.”

Job Summary:     The Warden Monitoring and Evaluation will
provide technical support in the development and implementation of the
monitoring and evaluation system for UWA

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Support the development and implementation of the monitoring and
    evaluation framework.
  • Participate in training of staff in monitoring and evaluation .
  • Prepare periodic reports for presentation on the implementation of
    Monitoring and Evaluation framework.
  • Participate in the development of Strategic, General Management and
    Operational Plans.
  • Participate in designing monitoring and evaluation tools
  • Undertake monitoring and evaluation data collection
  • Prepare workplans and timely performance reports
  • Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the
    supervisor and/or Management from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) Warden Monitoring
    and Evaluation career opportunity must hold an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in
    either Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences (with Economics and/or
    Social Administration) or Natural Resources from a recognized University
    or Institution.
  • Possession of Post Graduate training in Monitoring and Evaluation is
    an added advantage.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in Monitoring and
    Evaluation from a recognise organization.
