Job Summary: The Project Legal Officer – Women Protection
Shelter (WPC) will plan, manage, monitor and supervise the implementation of
the DFID Programme on Gender Based Violence project objectives in line with donor
guidelines and organization’s strategic plan.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the ActionAid Project Legal Officer – Women
Protection Shelter (WPC) job must hold an Honours Degree in Law (LLB) from
a recognised University - Diploma in Legal practice from Law Development Centre or any
recognised institution - Postgraduate qualification in project planning and management or any
related field is an added advantage. - At least three years of relevant working experience preferably in an
INGO or NGO. - Practical knowledge of Court processes/ procedures and possession of
a valid practicing certificate is a must - Practical experience in providing probono services to victims of GBV
including legal advice, representation in Court, rehabilitation and
resettlement - Extensive knowledge of Gender, Human rights and gender based
violence issues is a must and as well MUST possess riding skills.
