The UCC Act 2013 Laws of Uganda with a principal goal of developing a modern
communications sub-sector and Infrastructure in Uganda, in conformity with the
operationalization of the Telecommunications Policy.
Job Summary: The Officer Technical Support will carry out
of Technical tasks at the Regional Office in line with the Commission’s mission.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To carry out technical inspections and routine technical
measurements and prepare reports accordingly. - Maintain a database of technical data on all licensed stations in
the region. - To carry routine maintenance technical equipment and remote
monitoring sites. - Assist the head office technical staff as they carry out
interference analysis. - Assist in preparation of appropriate responses to technical
complaints.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) Officer
Technical Support job must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications
or Electronic Engineering or a related field - At least three years of experience in telecommunications or
electrical engineering in a similar corporate environment - Basic electrical equipment maintenance skills
