Job Summary:  The Manager Planning & Analytics -Business
Intelligence Division will lead and drive a team of data analysts to build and
deploy the MTN Uganda BI analytics roadmap. He/She will support all business
verticals with regular and ad hoc analytics to enable greater visibility of
business performance and RCA.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

•                    
To lead
the team of data analysts to ensure quality and accuracy in MTN Uganda
analytics roadmap delivery

•                    
Work
with segment leads across verticals to identify analytics support areas across
S&D, Marketing, EBU, products, CVM, CEX and deploy analytical frameworks as
per briefs received

•                    
Identify
business opportunities, risks and proactively carry out data analysis to help
business verticals to be better     aware
of business trends and business opportunities

•                    
Support
business functions in the process of building product and services business cases,
pre and post analysis

•                    
Build
and deploy advance data models to provide predictive behavioral analytics
across critical business levers like churn,    
bundle purchase, loyalty, etc.

•                    
Ensure
timely and accuracy of delivery of all    
pre-agreed reports and analysis

•                    
Work
with the BI technology vertical in    
migration of all valuable analytics framework to the DAAS platform
and     automate some of the manual
processes that exist today.

•                    
To lead
a team of business/data analyst to plan and deploy the BI analytics roadmap for
MTN Uganda

•                    
Carry
out all regular and ad hoc data analytics activities to enable business to
obtain better insights

•                    
Carry
out insightful analytics around customer segment movements, product lifecycle,
usage and revenue, etc

•                    
Monitor
accuracy and efficiency of all analytical activities carried out by the team of
analysts

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

•                    
The
ideal candidate for the MTN Uganda Manager Planning & Analytics
-Business Intelligence Division job placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree
in any business-related course   such as
Statistics, Economics, Commerce

•                    
Postgraduate
studies in management, analytics and business intelligence is an added advantage

•                    
Five years’
experience in business BI &  analytics in telecom

•                    
Have
prior experience in customer segmentation  
and behavioral analytics

•                    
Have prior
experience in building or being a part  
of a team that was responsible for predictive/prescriptive data models

•                    
Knowledge
of data warehousing and BI technologies

•                    
Ability
to drive cross functional projects

•                    
Expertise
in RCA for telecom businesses and  
products

•                    
Advanced
data modelling

•                    
Knowledge
in SQL/Microsoft/SAS/Power BI and other advanced analytics tools

•                    
Knowledge
and expertise in Telecom business analysis and reporting

•                    
Data
analytics & Reporting experience

•                    
Experience
is customer segmentation and customer value management

•                    
Experience
in exploratory, heuristic, prescriptive and predictive analytics

•                    
Experience
in statistical data modelling

•                    
Experience
in financial reporting

•                    
Experience
in Telecom product development

•                    
Experience
in data governance from revenue assurance stand point

•                    
Good
Interpersonal skills and Initiative

•                    
Ability
to drive cross functional projects

•                    
Able to
work under pressure

•                    
Good
Communication and presentation Skills

•                    
Time
management
