Uganda National
Cultural Centre (UNCC) is a semi-autonomous body established by an Act of
Parliament (UNCC Act Cap 50). It is mandated to preserve, promote and
popularize Art and Culture in Uganda and beyond.
Job Summary: The Internal Auditor will develop strategies
for implementation of the Centers objectives and the decisions and policies
made by the Board of Trustees .
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviewing Internal Control procedures and systems to assess their
adequacy and compliance - Providing guidance and advice to Management on proper financial
procedures and regulations. - Carrying out detailed examination of financial transactions
- Conducting systems audit and risk management to mitigate
loss/inefficiency in order to improve financial management - Compiling and submitting periodic reports to the Board for
consideration. - Checking that the measures put in place by management for
safeguarding assets are adequate and being followed - Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in either
Finance and Accounting or Commerce (Accounting option). Plus - A professional qualification (ACCA, CPA) which is a must Work
Experience - A minimum of seven years of work experience in a busy and reputable
organization
