About US:

Uganda National
Cultural Centre (UNCC) is a semi-autonomous body established by an Act of
Parliament (UNCC Act Cap 50). It is mandated to preserve, promote and
popularize Art and Culture in Uganda and beyond.

Job Summary:  The Grants Officer will identify and develop
faxable grant proposals and grant reports based on the UNCC needs

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Research and identity grant opportunities tor UNCC programs/projects
• Identify coordinate and implement strategies and plans for fund and
  raising activities
• Develop and write grant proposals tor UNCC
• Assist various department stall in writing periodic proposals and
  reports to comply with grant requirements
• Make appointments tor Executive Director with foundation officers
  and other prospects, arrange for onsite tours for funders
• Act as the Project Manager and coordinates all grant submissions
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

• The applicant for the Uganda National Cultural Centre (UNCC) Grants
  Officer job must a Bachelor’s Degree in SWASA, Development Studies Project
  Planning & Management Monitoring and Evaluation or a related field.
• A post graduate qualification in PPM or M&E will be desirable
• At least five years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in obtaining grants from non-profits,
  charities and other philanthropic organizations
• Proven track record in securing new funding opportunities
• Knowledge or computer operations (Microsoft Office Word, Access,
  PowerPoint, Excel and Publisher)
