Uganda Wildlife Authority
(UWA) is a semi-autonomous agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and
Antiquities. UWA was established in 1996 and is managed in accordance with the
Wildlife Act Cap 200. The Mission of UWA is: “To Conserve and Sustainably
Manage the Wildlife and Protected Areas of Uganda in Partnership with
Neighboring Communities and Other Stakeholders for the Benefit of the People of
Uganda and the Global Community.”

Job Summary:     The Sales Executive (Reservations) will
ensure and provide exceptional customer experience and offer timely information
to visitors to the Organization

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Effective and timely handling of customer enquiries, complaints in
    line with the laid down procedures.
  • Effective communications with the PAs with respect to bookings,
    customer services, requests and complaints.
  • Maintain and build a strong working relationship with Tour Operators
    and other stakeholders to ensure that customer needs are fulfilled and
    mutual objectives are met.
  • Effectively attend to customer needs on the telephone and email.
  • Reserve clients’ booking for UWA products and services and collect
    revenue through the established systems.
  • Implement the Gorilla and Chimpanzee booking guidelines.
  • Implement the UWA customer care guidelines and procedures.
  • Implement quarterly work plans and prepare timely performance
    reports for the Reservations Unit.
  • Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the
    supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) Sales
    Executive (Reservations) career opportunity must hold an Honors Bachelor’s
    Degree in Tourism, Business Administration, Commerce or any other business
    related field from a recognized University or Institution.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in sales and/or marketing in a
    reputable organization.

  • Ability to multitask.
  • Age Limit: Below
    40 years
