targets locations where disease transmission is most likely occur in
communities. Working in one, but not the others, defeats the purpose.
Job Summary: The Community Development Officer will
actively promote improved sanitation in Sembabule and Bukomansimbi districts
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tasked with community mobilization
- Promoting improved sanitation and hygiene practices
- Facilitating Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) triggerings
- Carrying out WASH assessments and mobile data collection
- Conducting household level follow-ups and health education
- Coordinating with district, sub-county and village level partners
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Diploma or degree in public health, social
work or community development - Prior experience with CLTS and community mobilization
- Knowledge of mobile phone data collection platforms
- Holds a valid motorcycle driving permit
- Fluent in Luganda and English and
- Sense of humor and willingness to get dirty
