is one of the world’s largest Non-Governmental Development Organizations,
working in a number of countries in Africa and Asia on poverty alleviation
Programs, is registered in Uganda as BRAC Uganda. The organization implements
integrated development approach combining Education, Health, Agriculture,
Livestock, Adolescent Empowerment and Microfinance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Bank/ Fund Reconciliations.
  • Monthly Financial Reports
  • Recommend the Transfer of expenses into and out of Projects. ‘
  • Compute and Submit tax and Payroll related expenses.
  • Analyze the budgets against Actual Expenditures.
  • Review supplier’s invoices and billings.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the BRAC International Area Accountant job
    must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce,
    Finance & Accounting or a related field (Testimonials will not be
    allowed).
  • ACCA, CPA or a related will be added advantage.
  • Three years of experience in projects or NGO Accounting.
  • Very good Computer skills.
  • Comparison of manual procedures & automated procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills
