Job Summary: The Accountant – Receivables is mainly
responsible for student billing, fee collection and ensuring that the
international School of Uganda maintains accurate accounting records.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate student billing records in Admin Plus &
QuickBooks - Issuing invoices for tuition and other charges
- In charge of monitoring payment of school fees and other receivables
- Issuing receipts and statements for debtors
- Managing the credit control function; ensuring of collection
procedures are adhered to. - Serve as the main point of contact for portents in regards to tee
invoices and payments. - Updating accounting records and general duties within the accounts
office - Post all approved payable invoices into QuickBooks
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce
or Business Administration - ACCA or CPA Level II
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar position in a
reputable organisation - Experience of using QuickBooks accounting package
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications,
particularly Excel - Excellent communications skills
- Team player: flexible and hard working
- Customer service oriented
- Keen attention to detail
