Mengo Hospital was
founded in 1897 in Kampala, and is the oldest hospital in Uganda. It currently
serves as an urban community hospital that provides modern medical care. Mengo
Hospital provides comprehensive care including radiology, obstetrics,
dentistry, orthopedics, and surgery. Additionally, Mengo Hospital provides
critical training and education to health professionals through its various
programs in midwifery and nursing, health sciences, and laboratory technology.
Mengo Hospital also has a dedicated research and development team that works to
find new solutions to health issues in Uganda.

Job Summary:  The Medical Records Assistant will mainly be
responsible for the efficient and effective creation, storage, retrieval of all
the medical records.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

·        
The
ideal candidate should have at least a Diploma in Records and Archives
Management, Health Records Management or any other related courses from a
recognized Institution.

·        
Hold a Certificate
in Medical Records is an added advantage

·        
At least
one year of relevant working experience in the same position/role in a
reputable organization preferably in the health sector

·        
Computer
skills and ability to use computerized Patient Administration Systems

·        
Highly
analytical, communication and interpersonal skills

·        
Keen
attention to detail

·        
Knowledge
in HMIS reporting

·        
Knowledge
in ICD-10 medical coding reference
