Limited is committed to organizing Uganda’s health care data so that patients
can access high quality health care. It is under this motivation that we have
opened up a Data saves lives lab. The Data saves lives lab will bring together
multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, researchers, developers and clinicians
to understand more about how underused health data can be repurposed to improve
health. Working on several projects, with a common goal, we will be combining
the latest technology with innovative models to deliver better health services
across Africa. We are hiring 10
internship students to join our lab for a period of 4-6 months. Successful
projects and great interns will be matched for a long-term commitment.
Job Summary: Internship students will be attached to a
project depending on their skill. They will be assigned to a team that will
work on deliverables for the duration of the internship. Interns must commit
for a period of 4-6 months depending on the project.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Junior
interns: Have completed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science,
Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Statistics, Nursing, Medicine and
surgery or related field.

Senior
interns: Have completed / pursuing a master’s degree in Health Informatics,
Computer Science, Data science, Business Administration, medicine, Public health
or related field
Skills:
·
You will
need to show: communication and interpersonal skills, analytical skills, the
ability to use initiative, the capacity to work under pressure, creativity,
drive, flexibility, numeracy, teamwork, influencing and negotiation skills,
oral and written skills, business awareness and IT literacy.
