and youth employment and livelihoods.
Job Summary:   The
Security Guard will be required to work with the Assistant Logistics and Admin
Coordinator to carry out a range of duties including Maintaining safe and
secure office environment, General office Maintenance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Maintaining Safe
and Secure Office Environment (50%)
                    
Supported
by the respective recruiting managers and working with the Assistant Logistics
and Admin Coordinator.
                    
Secure
premises and personnel by randomly or regularly patrolling property, monitoring
equipment and access points and permitting entry to guests and staff
                    
Monitor,
control and authorise entrance and departure of staff, visitors, and other
persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
                    
Inspect
windows, doors ad gates to ensure locks are in place and working
                    
Prevents
losses and damages by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy
and procedures.
                    
Warn
persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators or
trespassers from premises, using force when necessary.
                    
Acting
lawfully in direct defence of life or property
                    
Observing
for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
                    
Ensuring
all personnel accessing the premises have signed in and out in the availed log
book at the gate
                    
Call
police or external security firm in cases of emergency such as presence of
unauthorised persons
                    
Emptying
waste/dustbins and make sure trash and rubbish is properly disposed off
                    
Ensure
proper cleanliness of the office compound by sweeping or picking up any trash
around.
General Office
Maintenance (45%)
                    
Write
and complete reports by recording in detail of daily activities or
irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of
unauthorised persons, suspicious incidents, observations, unusual occurrences
and surveillance activities
                    
Support
the cleaner to perform and document routine inspection and maintenance
activities and notify the Administration of occurring deficiencies or needs for
repair
                    
Move
around equipment and furniture for the purpose of storage or rearranging
                    
Controlling
traffic by directing drivers
                    
Ensuring
the general tidiness of the office premises such as picking up trash, unusable
items like broken furniture or beddings and disposing them off or keeping them
in some convenient designated places.
                    
Actively
participate in compound cleaning especially sweeping, trimming compound trees.
Other duties as
required (5%)
                    
Other
