Manager
Institute is a clinical research institute taking part in evidence based
clinical trials, biomedical research, trainings and capacity building across
East and Central Uganda. Currently running a number of studies on key research
areas in health and medicine including REACH project, COAST, TRACT, PAC,
FLACSAM, PMS project, TABS, and several other upcoming projects.

MCRJ and PPDA regulations to achieve value for money and high stakeholder
satisfaction.
Develop
appropriate systems, procedures and guidelines for the procurement function and
the procurement committee
Prepare
the annual procurement master plan and participate in the annual expenditure
budgeting process for all shared services and items
Liaise
with the finance department to ensure availability of procurement funds and
timely payments to suppliers
Guide
suppliers on procurement procedures for MCRI including; sourcing out for
suppliers, coordinating and facilitating the bidding process and drafting
contracts and terms of reference for suppliers
Compile
procurement reports to procurement committee and support any audit process in verification
of procurement documentation
Ensure
that the necessary procurement documentation is in place, verified and properly
utilized including prowling timely advice to the relevant management and
committees in all matters pertaining to procurement
Supervise
the preparation and recommendations of contract and evaluation committee
schedules/ processes
Maintenance
of a prequalified list of suppliers for a specified period
Manage
pee- bid meetings, bid closing and bid opening and prepare monthly reports for
submission to Operations Officer/Director
Perform
any other duties as assigned by management
The
ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor of Procurement; BBA/BC0M (Procurement),
Part/ or Full completion of Certified Institute of Procurement and Supplies
(CIPS)
At least
three years of relevant working experience
Proven
knowledge of PPDA guidelines
Previous
experience in contract/purchase order management and administration.
Proven
experience in using office support systems
