located at 14Km on Entebbe Road, with a factory situated at Kamonkoli in
Eastern Uganda and another at Mbarara Sales Outlet.
Job Summary:  The Human Resource Business Partner will
serve as a human resource liaison to departmental managers and staff by
providing strategic and practical solutions as well as serve as an internal
employee relations / performance consultant to drive the company’s people
strategy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Liaise with Heads of Departments in order to understand their
    strategic and operational plans and support them in clarifying their human
    resourcing requirements
  • Ensure that Uganda Clays is provided with appropriate numbers of
    adequately qualified and competent staff
  • Develop systems and procedures that will enhance the performance and
    motivation of Uganda Clays staff; communicating clearly to managers and
    supporting them in implementation
  • Develop and implement an organisation-wide Learning &
    Development strategy and program that will ensure that Uganda Clays staff
    are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary for full performance
    in their roles
  • Lead the HR Administrator, in a manner that empowers him/her to
    deliver excellent customer service and high standards
  • Work according to Uganda Clay’s Quality and Safety procedures at all
    times



Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
    and Administration, Social Sciences
  • Full / Part CIPD Qualification.
  • Five years of experience in managing HR at a managerial. Strong
    business acumen, including strong problem solving skills, critical
    thinking and self-initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach others in the use of HR best practice,
    excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, high
    quality document and report preparation.
  • Excellent presentation skills and knowledge of employment laws.
  • Proven ability to successfully work as a team member and build a
    positive work environment..
