Limited (MDI) is a registered financial institution in Uganda and is adherent
to the Central Bank’s regulations and guidelines and was founded in 1994 to
provide quality microfinance services.
overall planning, organizing, and execution of UGAFODE (MDI) ICT strategy
including; directing all ICT operations to meet customer requirements as well
as support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new
technical solutions in line with compliance and risk perspectives.
- Accountable for the development and execution of ICT strategy that
resonates with the overall organizational objectives at UGAFODE (MDI). - Enabling business through provision of stable systems, technologies
that minimizes downtime and maximizes uptime. - Production of detailed monthly ICT Operations performance reports
(generated from reliable MI) that will support/enable business decision
making. - Ensures that all ICT operations requirements are in compliance to
set standards and regulations (Governance, Risk, and Audit) and
implementation of all recommendations and closing out queries. - Accountable for effective management of ICT change projects to
ensure both Project success (realization of project goals) and project
management success ( within budget, deadlines and quality expectations) - Develops and continuously manages the ICT Operations budget ensuring
cost saving, value for money, enforcement of budgetary controls and
accountability for ICT related expenditure. - Managing Key ICT relationships with key stakeholders to understand
their current and future business needs and manage outsourced partners in
line with SLA requirements of UGAFODE (MDI). - Team Supervision: Takes full responsibility for performance
management of all direct reports, focusing on all aspects of sound people
management
- The ideal candidate for the UGAFODE Microfinance Limited (MDI) Head
of ICT job must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or
equivalent and any IT certification (e.g. CISCO Certified Network
Associate (CCNA) etc. is desirable - Five years’ experience in Microfinance or banking computer systems
and micro credit business knowledge - Knowledge of related statutory IT compliance regulations, IT and MIS
banking policies, procedures and systems, and lending, banking and transformation
products policies and procedures AND experience in microfinance business
processes - Extensive and in-depth knowledge of IT Operations in a Banking
environment/Microfinance setting; - Working knowledge of some or all of the following: Windows 7 to 10,
Windows Server 2012, Microsoft Exchange 2012, SharePoint, VMware ESXi 6,
Web hosting technologies, Microsoft Office Products, Unix and/or Oracle - Strategic leadership
- Monitoring and business insight
