energy products that empower those living off-grid. Over 34m people in Uganda
are off-grid, which equates to 6.2m households who have no access to power and
instead depend on kerosene for light and local businesses for phone charging.
To address this, Fenix International has developed ReadyPay, a new Pay-To-Own
Solar Power System. Coming in a range of kits, ReadyPay Power Systems are
designed to provide clean light, phone charging, entertainment and more for
those living off-grid.

Job Summary:  The Global Tax Compliance Officer will report
directly to the Fenix Global Finance Director. (S)he will collaborate with the
Fenix CFO, ENGIE Group Tax Department, Global Financial Controller, the IT
team, legal and accountants / tax advisors to 
keep all Fenix business entities compliant with various local, state,
and international tax regulations. This will include implementing measures and
developing policies for dealing with various tax estimations, compliance and
forecast.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

 Oversee global tax compliance activities
across all countries of operation and entities

Ensure global tax
compliance, including:

                    
Reviewing
income tax filings, sales and use tax filings, transfer pricing duties

                    
Reporting
on tax compliance

                    
Maintaining
global tax calendar and protocols

                    
Help
define the scope of work of local advisors and their selection in the context
of the ENGIE Group policies

                    
Liaise
with management and external auditors on tax accounting issues

                    
Collaborate
with international finance teams to ensure timely and accurate filing of all
tax returns

                    
Responsible
for income tax forecast and variance analysis, and compilation and presentation
of global variance analysis monthly to internal stakeholders

                    
Prepare
and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions, including disclosures

                    
Review
tax accounting results, prepare management reports and present results to
C-Suite

                    
Build
and maintain relationships with external tax advisors, managing their efforts
and determining the extent of their use in cooperation with ENGIE Group Tax
Department

                    
Maintain
knowledge of current tax accounting and reporting pronouncements and ensure
proper application in the company’s tax accounting reporting process

                    
Lead
continuous process improvements and integration of various aspects of the
global tax provision function to achieve optimal efficiency, effective
controls, and quality

                    
Lead in
training efforts for tax and finance personnel on income tax accounting matters

                    
Ensure
that the ENGIE Tax policy is respected in terms of reputation, risk management
and compliance

                    
Participate
in the management of tax audit and tax litigation

                    
Participate
with ENGIE Group Tax Department to the tax matters related to the development
and organization of the activities and entities

                    
Work
with ENGIE Group Tax Department on 
various tax related assignments including ensuring transfer pricing
compliance of the entities

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

                    
The
applicant must hold a B.A or B.S in Accounting, CPA/ACCA preferred, 5 years
minimum experience in Operational Finance related roles

                    
Five
years of relevant experience

                    
Candidates
should expect a fast paced startup culture, and will be expected to take
ownership of a wide range of responsibilities, and put into practice strong
accounting and reporting skills.

                    
Exceptional
written and verbal communication skills in English, French a plus.

                    
Strong
international tax operations knowledge and familiarity of tax issues for a
multinational company operating globally

                    
Knowledge
of IFRS 15 and basic notions in transfer pricing

                    
Attention
to detail, as well as ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a
dynamic and fast paced environment

                    
Advanced
quantitative analysis skills and proficiency in excel

                    
Entrepreneurial
spirit and collaborative nature

                    
Attention
to detail, strategic thinker

                    
A
passion for Fenix and our customers!

                    
Advanced
Excel, SQL and or/Tableau experience

                    
Work
experience in a multinational company or financial institution, preferably with
operations in Africa

                    
Understanding
of rural BOP markets, microfinance, mobile telecom and/or renewable energy
industries in Africa
