Job Summary: The Audit Assistant will be responsible for
carrying out independent analysis of documents and records and verifying items
to ensure that controls put in place by management are followed to meet the
goals and objective of UCL providing quality building products in a profitable
manner..

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Taking the lead through facilitating and conducting spot checks that
all procedures are followed and quantities loaded are in agreement with
the records. - Reviewing all documentation ensuring that all the relevant
information within the documents is accurate and that it enables
authorisation and approval of transactions. - Reviewing and comparing information that is obtained on the ground
matches / is aligned with pre-set criteria. - Generating reports that meet the engagement objective by providing
management and the board with timely, accurate and constructive reports. - Work in accordance with and to Uganda Clay’s Quality and Safety
procedures at all times
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Degree in accountancy from a
recognized institution. Level 2 of professional qualification in either
ACCA, CPA OR CIMA. - A minimum of two years’ experience in either external or internal
audit. - Good computer knowledge in auditing book keeping records.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of responsibility,
minimum supervision characterised by attention to detail and ability to
plan. - Proactive work style characterised by attention to details and
ability to plan, coordinate and monitor own work..
