Job Summary: The Senior WASH Officer will be responsible
for planning and providing technical guidance to all WASH Sector activities in
Bidi Bidi, working closely with ARC staff, partners, Refugees and all stakeholders
to ensure efficient delivery of excellent WASH services in the assigned zones.
S/he will ensure coordination, cooperation and collaboration among Government,
District, UNHCR, Communities and any other partners within the area of
operation. S/he will work collaboratively with the Area Coordinator as well as
the WASH/Infrastructure Technical Coordinator in Kampala, with support to other
field bases provided as needed.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the American Refugee Committee (ARC) Senior
WASH Officer job must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or
equivalent education / experience. - Master’s Degree in Water and Environment Management is an added
advantage. - Five years of working experience in WASH with NGOs, government
agencies, etc. - Technical design skills using AutoCAD or Archi CAD, Epanet, Epi info
and WaterCAD or any other hydraulic modeling software. - Excellent report writing, communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at a time and work effectively with
colleagues. - Strong technical IT skills.
