The Mission of the
Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries is to “Transform
Subsistence Farming to Commercial Agriculture”. The Government of Uganda has
received credit from the African Development Bank towards financing the
Agriculture Value Chain Development Project (AVCP1). The main goal of the
project is to contribute to poverty reduction and economic growth in Uganda
through enhanced productivity and commercialization of agriculture.

Job Summary: The Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

System

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture,
Economics, Statistics, Development Studies, Rural Development or Planning - Possession of a Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural
Economics, Economics or Development Economics - At least five years’ experience of working at a Senior Position in
the field of Monitoring and Evaluation in the Agriculture/ Rural
Development Sectors - A postgraduate qualification in M&E
- Postgraduate training in the use of Geographic Information Systems
is an added advantage
