The Mission of the
Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries is to “Transform
Subsistence Farming to Commercial Agriculture”. The Government of Uganda has
received credit from the African Development Bank towards financing the Agriculture
Value Chain Development Project (AVCP1). The main goal of the project is to
contribute to poverty reduction and economic growth in Uganda through enhanced
productivity and commercialization of agriculture.

Job Summary: The Senior Financial Management Officer will
mainly maintain a sound financial management system and ensure project
compliance with all national and development partner financial policies and
practices.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting,
Finance, Business Management or Business Administration - Master’s in Business Administration
- Should be a member of ACCA or CPA
- Ten years of work experience of which 5 years should be in a donor
project - Extensive knowledge of Government Accounting procedures..
