Limited (SOFTE) is a fruit processing plant and a subsidiary of Uganda
Development Corporation (UDC). The company will also produce ready to drink
fruit juice as well as concentrates from Ugandan produced fruits notably
Oranges, Mangoes and Pineapples.

Job Summary: The
Marketing Manager will be the lead person in the implementation of the Marketing
and Sales Strategy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that periodical market research activities are undertaken on
fruit juice market in order to develop and maintain an appropriate product
mix and marketing strategies - Putin place a pricing strategy that will ensure effective market
penetration in the targeted markets and maximize profits for the company - Organize and manage the launch of the SOFTE brand on the market:
- Promote and position SOFTE brand and products on the market;
- Establish and manage a distribution strategy that will ensure
effective penetration of SOFTE brand and products in the targeted markets - Develop and implement an elective export marketing strategy
- Maintain good public and media relations by winning the support al media
institutions, media managers and reporters; - Supervise, coordinate and appraise the performance of the marketing
team - Ensure that SOFTE teams offer good customer service throughout all
business interaction with customers - Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the CEO
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Master’s Degree in Business Administration
Marketing Option), Marketing or related degree - A professional membership qualification e.g. Chartered Institute of
Marketing (CIM) is an added advantage. - Eight years of experience working as a Marketing or Sales Manager in
a First Moving Consumer Goods organization. - Should be result oriented, team player with a high degree of
professionalism. - Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in relevant computer packages
- Should have good leadership skills
