Capital City Authority (KCCA)

Authority (KCCA) is the legal entity, established by the Ugandan Parliament,
responsible for the operations of the capital city of Kampala in Uganda.
Authority (KCCA) secured funding from Cheshire Service Uganda with support from
the UK Government’s Department for International Development (DFID). The
funding is intended to promote Inclusive Education in the Authority.
- Support the documentation of learning needs of children with
disabilities within the authority and ensure that appropriate measures are
taken to address them - Review and support dissemination of inclusive education policies,
procedures and disability-related legislation throughout the authority - Collect and regularly update data on children with disabilities in
KCCA schools - Strengthen the capacity of KCCA staff, school authorities, head
teachers, SMCs, PTAs and teachers on disability and inclusive education - Map partners within the authoring working in the area of education or
Inclusive education to form and leverage networks and promote synergy.
- The applicant must hold an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Education or
Arts/BCS with Education or Educational Psychology or Education Management
or any other related fields from a recognized university - Formal qualification in special needs Education/ inclusive Education
- At least five (5) years working experience in any educational
institution of which two (2) years must have been in the areas of Special
Needs Education sector or Inclusive Education
