The mandate of
Uganda Hotel and Tourism Training Institute is derived from statute No.14
of 1999 and the universities and other tertiary institutions Act of 2001.
Cabinet memorandum CT (2010) 109 further spelled out the principles for a bill
for re-establishment of UHTTI under the Ministry of Tourism.

Job Summary: The Internal Auditor will monitor the
Implementation of the budget of the Institute.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold an Honors Bachelor’s degree in Finance and
Accounting or - B.com (Accounting option) or BBA Studies (Accounting option) plus
full professional qualification in Accountancy Obtained from a recognized
institution affiliated to IFAC. - Professional qualification in Internal Audit, like Certified
Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information System in Internal Audit
(CISA), or equivalent level of qualification in Internal Audit is an added
advantage. - A minimum of three years of relevant working experience in the same
Field in a Government Organization or reputable Organization
