Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Allocate and monitor work assigned to subordinates
- Provide technical guidance and support to subordinates in the plant.
- Monitor inventory and prepare requisitions for raw materials and
spare parts - Prepare daily production reports
- Daily oversee of preventive maintenance in the plant
- Keenly monitor performance of workers during the production process
- Enter production data into the Enterprise Resource Application
database - To oversee housekeeping in the production area
- Work in consultation with the Manufacturing Manager, determine and
implement efficient production methods. - Ensure that the products are produced on time and of good quality
- Keenly monitor the production process and make sure that
quality-control programs are implanted. - Responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment and work
with managers to ensure that the company’s policies and goals are
accomplished on time. - Implement the health and safety guidelines in the plant
- Tasked with identifying training needs
- Perform any other duties assigned by the BUM/Manufacturing Manager
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Mukwano Production Officer, Laundry Soap
job must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Food Science and
Technology; Chemistry or related discipline - At least two years of working experience in plastics production
section in a busy manufacturing set up. - Excellent communication skills for both oral and written
- Excellent customer care skills, good numerical ability, positive
attitude, a team player, flexible, results focused, takes initiative,
logical reasoning skills , problem solving and creativity skills. - Should have the ability to adjust to changing technology and ability
to perform to expected standards. - Mechanical ability, physical strength and stamina and the ability to
work for long hours and in high places
