Procurement Officer

attention to detail and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
in the execution of Procurements for the timely availability of quality goods
and services in accordance with approved Guidelines and Procedures.
- The incumbent will compile requests of the items (goods, works and services)
to be procured based on requests by the user departments in line with
requisition guidelines. - Prepare and request for quotations and/or proforma invoices from
suppliers in line with procurement guidelines. - Verify Pro-forma Invoices to establish compliance with approved
awards for goods and/or services in line with procurement guidelines. - Prepare Purchase order documentation and generate receiving reports.
- Open and evaluate quotations and prepare documentation evaluation
analysis in line with procurement guidelines. - Prepare Documentary Credit Application / Import Declaration Forms
and other related procurement documentation for the timely and effective
execution of Contracts. - Assist in Supplier performance evaluation in accordance with
approved performance indicators/criteria, through follow up on delayed
deliveries and keep user departments informed; consulting them if there is
need to change specifications or suppliers. - Generate a weekly report on all outstanding items, requisitions,
price reductions/savings on goods and services, and product or service
quality in line with procurement management guidelines - Ensure goods and materials supplied are as per specifications and
supplied at the best prices to ensure value for money.
- The ideal candidate for the Med-Optics Limited Procurement Assistant
job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply
Chain Management, Stores and Supplies Management, Logistics or a related
qualification from a recognized institution. - Relevant experience in a busy procurement department.
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- A good command of both written and spoken English
- Patient, understanding and of a pleasant character
- Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Office
- Commitment to the organizational values
- Have good numerical skills
- Honesty and integrity is critical
- Ability to bond with and work in a team.
