for their client, a Tourism and Travel Company.
Job Summary:  A Tourism and Travel Company is looking to
hire a dynamic, competent and energetic young female to fill the position of Administrative
Assistant (Tourism) in the Organization in a small but busy office setting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Plan and Arrange tour packages, excursions, and plan all activity
    Itineraries for Tourist clients.
  • Follow up on and confirm all clients’ travel arrangements including
    in-country flight bookings, ground transportation and hotel reservations.
  • Develop engaging content on the Tourism industry in East Africa, for
    two company websites as well as weather forecasts and the best times of
    the year to visit various locations.
  • Develop and maintain a Filing system and Records Management for the
    business
  • Coordinate all incoming calls and outgoing email and calls.
  • Maintain an up-to-date contacts’ list of clients


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a Diploma or Degree in Tourism management,
    Business Administration or any related field
  • At least six months – one year of proven experience in an
    administrative role in the industry.
  • The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, highly organized and
    willing to travel to any tourist destination in and around the country, as
    part of the relationship building strategies, with our Tourism facility
    partners. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (majorly Word and Excel)
  • Good report writing skills
  • Highly organized, multi-tasker and good communicator
  • Problem solving
  • Good team player
  • Keen attention to detail
