recently opened a social enterprise in Nansana called Urban Village where we
offer internship opportunities for youths. This enterprise consists of a salon
and cafe/ restaurant. We offer a range of services including a local and exotic
menu, juice bar and an assortment of coffees. Our salon offers everything from
hair, beauty and spa treatments for women and a men’s barber.

Job Summary: The Business Unit Manager is responsible for
everything in the cafe & salon. He/she will deliver a high-quality menu and
salon services and motivate our staff & interns to provide excellent
customer service. He/she will drive revenue, profitability and quality goals
and ensure efficient restaurant & salon operation.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The suitable candidate has three years’ experience managing in a
similar role, experience in mentoring interns; and a qualification in a
relevant field. - Previous experience in managing in the service industry
- Experience in working with and mentoring youths
- Ability to manage stock
- Previous experience in marketing and promoting a business
